DMGs are equal to the East India Company

When as hard-hearted one can be while judging others, then there is perhaps no one who can beat PPP’s MPA Syed Hassan Murtaza, who launched bitter diatribe against the District Management Group officers, averring that they were looters and had become burden on the Punjab economy.
“The time is not far when these DMGs will conquer the province following into the foot steps of the defunct East India Company,” he predicted while speaking on a Point of Order at the Punjab Assembly. He also drew the attention of the House to an incident of torturing of a PCS officer Attaullah Saddiqui by a DMG Shafqat-ur-Rehman Ranjha for reportedly having doubt of leaking information about Ranjha’s illegal activities. Murtaza told the House that Ranjha was appointed as Project Director of Lahore Ring Road Project and was also serving as Additional Commissioner Lahore, and was using seven official vehicles at one time in gross violation of rules besides incurring huge losses to the public exchequer under the head of POL. “On one hand, the government have even stopped the development funds of the legislators, but on the other, people like Ranjha are looting public money,” he added, while maintaining that the DMGs considered Pakistan was founded for them. “Stop them otherwise they will devour the country like East India Company,” he prophesied.
A PML-N MPA defended his govt, and when he tried to ‘correct’ Murtaza, the latter left the House to protest against the DMG. However, he came back upon Speaker’s intervention.
PPP’s Sajida Mir pointed out closure of the Janeki Devi Maternity Hospital, and asked for its reopening.
