MBBS merit announced

Merit for admission of MBBS students to nine medical colleges of the Punjab for 2005-06 was announced by the Chairman Admission Board and Principal King Edward Medical College Prof. Mumtaz Hassan on Saturday.
The merit list is mentioned below in ‘name of college, open merit and self-finance merit’ wise. King Edward Medical College (Lahore) 83.591 percent and 78.945 percent, Allama Iqbal Medical College (Lahore) 81.341 and 78.295, Fatima Jinnah Medical College (Lahore) 79.973 and 78.123, Rawalpindi Medical College (Rawalpindi) 79.373 and 77.932, Nishter Medical College (Multan) 79.336 and 79.977, Punjab Medical College (Faisalabad) 78.918 and 77.777 and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College (Bahawalpur) 78.514 and 77.709.
As there are no seats on open merit in the Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS, Lahore) and Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex (Rahim Yar Khan), so merit on self-finance seats is 77.550 and 77.709 respectively.
This is the percentage of adjusted marks of F.Sc. and entry tests.
Merit was displayed on Saturday at the KEMC.
Total seats on open merit are 1412 and self-finance are 306. (November 12, 2005)
