Ameer Jama’at-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic incident of bus inferno, which claimed forty lives and caused injuries to many others in Lahore on Sunday.
In a statement on Monday Qazi said it was deplorable that the government had given free hand to prepare explosive material in densely populated areas, which had resulted in disastrous situations many a time in the past. “Fireworks causing resounding at night have marred the peace of cities especially causing deep impact on patients. The Lahore bus inferno is a result of negligence on the part of law enforcing agencies,” he added.
Qazi comforted the grieved families, who lost their dear ones in this tragic incident and demanded ban on dangerous fireworks and strict penalty for those who violated the law.
