Dilapidated houses within the walled city must be ‘red tagged’ and their inhabitants should be given last warning and notice by the concerned officials, said the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Khalid Sultan while presiding over a meeting on Wednesday.
The DCO instructed the concerned government officials to register a report with the area police stations about the precarious houses. In case of any tragedy, FIR will be registered against the owner of the house, and could be punished with 3-year imprisonment. LESCO, WASA and Sui Gas officials have been asked to cut utility connections of all dangerous houses.
